We have just learned that The Malvinas were closely exposed to COVID this weekend.
While we are all “negative” (at the moment), out of an abundance of caution, we are canceling our in-person event at Chromatic Studios.
WE WILL BE LIVE-STREAMING to the public from Lisa Markley’s page at 8pm Eastern (https://www.facebook.com/lisamarkley).
With roots all over North America, the Malvinas are a feminist folk trio with a seriously original sound created by three of the most temperamental, romantic, down-to-earth, tolerant, funky, maternal, independent, impassioned, politically opinionated, completely-unlike-one-another, singer-songwriter-instrumentalists you’ve ever had the good fortune to know.
The Malvinas are:
Gina Forsyth – fiddle/guitar (Breaux Bridge Louisiana)
Beth Cahill – Mandolin/Tenor Guitar/Guitar (Wakefield Quebec)
Lisa Markley – Guitar/Banjo (Woodstock New York)
We last performed together in the “Before Times” (pre-COVID), and are thrilled to sing together again sharing harmonies and all those amazing aerosols ❤️
